Ocean County Library Provides Secure Charging Station

July 27, 2017

TOMS RIVER – The Ocean County Library’s Toms River Headquarters is now offering an in-house mobile device charging locker through a LibraryLinkNJ grant.

This locker, a Kwickboost 9300, includes eight secure compartments which include three types of charging cords: Apple Lightning, USB Type C, and Micro USB to provide a charge to phones, tablets, laptops and other devices.  Each compartment comes with digital locks for individual use, ensuring users a secure charging environment.

“Enhancing our flagship facility in the heart of Ocean County with a secure and reliable charging station will bring added value to our library and to our community” states Assistant Library Director Sara Siegler.

This locker was funded by a grant from LibraryLinkNJ. This initiative addresses the LibraryLinkNJ goals of producing services and programs to help extend and enhance library budgets; encouraging initiatives, services and projects that help libraries articulate their value to their communities; and generate and implement innovative ideas, methods and programs to support new models of service.
